Mid-May we were treated to a small avalanche of shit in the press. Journalists flocked to throw their light on the struggle against the maxi-prison. Scandalized by the fact that this struggle does not take legal paths and advocates direct action and self-organization to prevent the construction of the new prison hell, it does not address institutions and politicians but blazes its trail into the poor neighbourhoods of Brussels (and not only) and has nothing to share with journalists and (...)

Greece: “Abstinence from the referendum – In conflict with the institutions of democracyâ€
4 July 2014As anarchist students we choose to abstain from the referendum (although we have no right to vote). We oppose the systemic dilemmas and illusions and we clarify in advance that we will not participate in any electoral, institutional, government procedure. Because quite simply, any such process and each option given to us through this, aims to stabilize the system and to preserve -expand the state-national-institutional domination. Nevertheless, we do not support abstinence as an alternative or a third way because we believe that abstinence alone as an option leads to passivity and assimilation.

Brussels: “Anti-terrorist†raids of comrades’ homes and Le Passage
29 June 2014This Wednesday June 10th 2015, just before 6am, different anti-terrorism teams raided four comrades’ houses as well as Le Passage, the local space of struggle against the maxi-prison. These raids were conducted as part of an operation named “Cavale†[On the run].

Break the ranks
1 June 2014Everyone should fall in line. That’s what they want, from our first to our last breath. We should be in line for the classrooms, for the checkouts of the supermarket, for work; we should queue up on the roads, in front of the counters of bureaucracy, at the polling stations… until the end of the line, in rows of tombstones. An entire existence that drags on like this – our muscles only contract to kneel down, our hearts only beat for goods – in the safety of a prison.
The cities are (...) -
Chile: Two arrests for the attack against the intendant of Tarapaca’s office (Iquique)
14 May 2014During the early hours of April 28, 2015 encapuchadxs threw 4 molotov cocktails at the Intendant [1] of Tarapaca’s office in Iquique.
According to police, a taxi driver saw everything that happened and decided to follow the supposed authors, and after this called the police and told them how they were dressed and which streets they went down.
The repressive forces quickly responded and set up a perimeter cordon, and detained Camila de Pompeya Sanhueza Olivares (21 years old) and another (...) -
Yuan’é Hu
6 May 2014Thursday August 2nd 2012, Yuan’é Hu is on the sidewalk in Belleville. It’s the same place she’s been nearly every single day since she ended the hard journey which she to took to get to France eight months earlier. Just like several hundred other Chinese women in their forties she left her life, her daughter, her family, and her friends to make the trip. Europe and its promises, the promise of «decent» wages, of better working conditions, of «freedom» which is portrayed in the rare western media which isn’t filtered by the authorities of the hinese Communist Party. But just like so many others Yuan’é Hu was tricked by a passer who had promised her both a job which would allow her to send a little money back home and papers. That’s how she ended up on the sidewalk selling her body in miserable conditions, sharing a room with eight other women, all of whom have been denied their dignity.

New anarchist space in Paris : La Discordia
23 April 2014Discord is profound disagreement, violent dissent that puts people in opposition and sets them against each other. What we want to encourage rather is for it to set them against this old world and its defenders, as is already happening here and there in the many acts of rebellion and insubordination. There is no question of us throwing water on the glowing embers of these revolts, but rather of throwing, like the goddess Discordia [Eris], the apple of discord into the middle of this society where mercantile and repressive relations seem to have taken the upper hand over mutual aid, solidarity and the search for a life that we would like to live. Also against the wide resignation and search for consensus at all costs – even at the cost of apathy.

Mexico: Carlos López “Chivo†subtracts himself from judicial control
17 April 2014For similar reasons and being able to choose freely, I decided to take the road of going on the run, mainly for my own safety and that of other comrades, due to the tracking that had been put in act. I am not the first nor will I be the last to do so, choosing a path of struggle that consists partly of taking back my own life, but which also carries the violent, frontal and refractory side against all authority. You don’t need to be a scholar to realize that you will be targetted by the investigators and prosecutors trying to connect to you / implicate you in any question of direct action generated in the battlefield. And in my case, on bail and signing in, it is certain that they would have me at their mercy to take me in whenever they felt like it, a pleasure that I was not prepared to give them, at least as far as I could.

“Hallucination, intimidation and controlâ€
17 April 2014‘Are we persecuted? Well, it’s logical that we are persecuted because we are a constant threat for who represents the system. In order not to be prosecuted we would have to adapt to their laws, comply with them, integrate into the system, let bureaucracy penetrate our spinal cord and become perfect traitors… but is that what we want? No. So our everyday actions have to be nourished with our creative imagination. Our strength is our ability to resist. We can fail but must never bow down to (...)
