On 26th May the first hearing of the trail against Gianluca and Adriano was held in video-link. Earlier, Gianluca had made the decision to renounce having a defence lawyer and revoked the appointment of his lawyer. Moreover, both Gianluca and Adriano had decided not to attend trial via screen, as a gesture of not collaboration with the farce-trial in video conference.
The hearing was postponed to 4th July as the judge declared that, according to court papers, Gianluca had appointed another lawyer and this without the alleged appointed lawyer or the many comrades who have a dense correspondence with Ginaluca knowing it. After trying to shed light on this inconsistency, the riddle was solved: Gianluca never thought of appointing a lawyer but various elements indicate that there was a mistake in the prison of Alessandria, where Gianluca is being held.
Therefore we re-confirm Gianluca’s choice of not having a defence lawyer and remind that the next date of the trial against Gianluca and Adriano is due on 4th July.
We invite you all to show solidarity with the two comrades and to denounce the ‘disgraceful’ use of video conference as yet another instrument of isolation.
